DATRON M8Cube

German-engineered, heavy duty, high-speed engraving machine

The Perfect Fit for Engraving Professionals

The DATRON M8Cube was specifically designed and built as an industrial, heavy duty, cost-effective solution for high-speed engraving, supporting industries like yours for over 30 years.

Engrave a wide range of materials such as brass, tool steel, stainless steel, and aluminum with superb surface finishes in a fraction of the time compared to conventional CNC systems. The impressive speed makes this system an excellent economic alternative to acid etching. With the M8Cube, engrave large plates or nest multiple dies within the large 39” x 27 1/2” travel area and let the machine run continuously overnight. Arrive in the morning with all your work completed and ready to take off the machine.

DATRON is a world leader in engraving solutions for embossing dies, including combination dies, foil stamping dies, steel stamps, rotary die work, shallow cavity molds, serialization, stainless steel panels, and signage.

The user-friendly, plug-and-play system pairs DATRON’s next Control software with the optional Carveco® engraving suite, giving engraving professionals the tools to produce detailed 3D designs in metal with exceptional accuracy and mirror-like surface finishes. Built-in features like optical cameras and touch probes simplify part alignment and setup, while integrated workholding solutions—such as our vacuum table systems—allow you to secure plate material in seconds, eliminating the need for gasketing, adhesives, or mechanical clamps. For cylindrical engraving and die work, a plug-and-play 4th rotary axis is also available. The intuitive touchscreen interface makes it easy to swipe and tap your way to high-precision results in no time.

Whether you’re currently outsourcing, hand-engraving, using traditional CNC systems, desktop engravers, lasers, or chemical etching, the M8Cube offers a seamless and capable alternative. DATRON’s turnkey solutions are designed to get you up and running on day one. Our skilled engineering team supports you through every step—from generating toolpaths and configuring your tools and fixtures to operating and maintaining your system. With a nationwide network of service technicians and a readily available inventory of tools and spare parts, we ensure that your equipment runs reliably with minimal interruption. We take care of the details—so you don’t have to.

Twenty-Four Hour Engraving Capabilities

We run them [M8Cubes]  pretty much 24 hours a day. At the end of our shift—around 6 or 7 PM—we set them up to run overnight. When we come in the next morning, our parts are already cut and ready to go.
