DATRON neo

The Only High Performance, Out-Of-The-Box CNC System That Fits Through a Standard Door

Rapid Prototyping In-House Is Not A Pipedream

The DATRON neo was specifically designed and built to provide easy and affordable entry to high-speed milling.

This plug-and-play system features the DATRON next control software, giving you full control over 3-axis and 4-axis milling without requiring years of experience as a machinist. The ergonomic, frontal access to the work area allows for quick and safe setup of workpieces, while the touchscreen control pad lets you tap and swipe your way to fast and precise machining. All of this, and the DATRON neo actually fits through a standard door!

Prototyping and part making have traditionally required either specialized expertise, bulky and costly equipment, or both. Factor in the time and cost of training machinists, space for large equipment, and maintenance needs, and you’re looking at a significant investment. Most companies end up outsourcing or just skipping it – even though they know that companies making their own prototypes or doing short-run production in-house have a distinct advantage over those who can’t. And that’s why DATRON created the neo. Remember, if you can tap or swipe, you’re 90% of the way there!

Capable, Rigid, & Accurate

Absolutely awesome just on the capability, and the rigidity, and the accuracy of these machines. There’s a film on the back of polycarbonate or lexan, and we can regularly machine completely through the 1/4 inch lexan and machine partway through the backside film.”

Watch the neo in Action

Want to prototype in-house and get to market faster? With the neo, you can design, mill, test, revise, and repeat in a day vs. waiting weeks for outsourcing. See the machine in action here

  • Uses less energy than a standard hand-held hair dryer.
  • CAM Assistant walks you through 4 easy steps to a finished part.

Machine Precision Metal Parts in a Lab or Office Environment

Do precision machining (micron tolerances) in aluminum and other materials with the DATRON neo. Produce high surface quality finishes in a fraction of the time compared to a conventional CNC. The neo is ideal in research and development environments or industries making small parts in both large and small production volumes, like the electronics and medical industries. Larger conventional CNC machines are heavy, messy, and complicated to operate. The neo is an ideal system for the non-machinist or a production environment when you do not need a multi-ton machine tool to manufacture small, precision metal parts.

  • Mill Just About Anywhere – Install the neo where you need it. The neo fits through standard office doors and elevators and runs on 120-volt single phase power.
  • Achieve Picture-Perfect Precision – Control the built-in camera with augmented reality and simple fingertip gestures, just like using your smartphone.
  • Begin Milling Almost Immediately – This small, yet powerful, 3-axis mill features an easy 4 step workflow and practically skips the machining learning curve.
