The DATRON MLCube Pro is the premium model in the MLCube series, designed for high-performance machining with maximum efficiency. Built for high metal removal rates, it features automatic hinged doors and crane-loading capability, making material handling seamless and reducing operator workload. Its external ToolAssist system allows tools to be loaded and unloaded during machining, minimizing downtime and ensuring continuous production.

What is the accuracy of the DATRON MLCube Pro?

±0.0006″ positional accuracy (ISO 230 tested). Optional linear scales are available for higher-tolerance applications. Please inquire about a full specification document.

How do I get service?

Machines include onboard diagnostics. We provide phone support for initial diagnosis, and many issues can be resolved by swapping plug-and-play components. DATRON stocks parts and tools locally in the USA. For more complex repairs, DATRON employs highly skilled field service technicians who are available nationwide.

How do I mount workholding?

The polymer-concrete table has threaded inserts on a 100mm grid. Using DATRON’s conical locating system, vises, pallets, vacuum tables, and fixtures can be positioned and mounted accurately and quickly.

How do I hold Large Sheet Materials?

DATRON’s vacuum table system securely holds thin or thick sheet material across the entire work area, even for very small nested parts.

Can I integrate a robot?

Yes. The MLCube Pro supports robot or cobot integration. Optional automatic doors and an automation module are available for fully unattended operation.

Can the machine Cut Steel?

Yes, especially for small-tool steel machining (.060″ or smaller). Common applications include engraving, micro-grooves, and drilling. Oil is required in the MQL system for steel.

Can I network the machine?

Yes. The PC-based control connects easily to your network via Ethernet. Have your IT team coordinate firewall and security settings with DATRON.

What is the open table area used for?

This optional open front section allows mounting of oversized or long parts, such as extrusions. It also supports an optional vertical workholding fixture and is required for a 4th/5th axis trunnion.

What power is needed?

Standard requirement is 400V, 3-phase. An optional 11 kVA transformer (280V → 400V) is available from DATRON. The machine should be hardwired to its own dedicated breaker.

What is the difference between the MLCube and MLCube Pro?

They share the same internal mechanics. The MLCube Pro has a reinforced enclosure, automatic doors, and an automated chip conveyor for 24/7 industrial production. Overhead crane loading is also supported.
