Struggling with Lead Times, Cost Overruns, and Quality Issues? The DATRON M8Cube is Built to Keep OEM Production on Track.
Is outsourcing critical parts putting your schedules and budgets at risk?
Are rising costs and long supplier lead times limiting your production flexibility?
Do quality inconsistencies disrupt downstream assembly and cause rework headaches?
Does the complexity of traditional CNC systems keep you from bringing machining in-house?
The DATRON M8Cube was engineered to overcome these exact challenges for OEM manufacturers.
This high-performance, German-built CNC machine combines a spacious machining envelope with high-speed precision and user-friendly operation—delivering enterprise-level capability without the overhead. Designed for modern production teams, the M8Cube features DATRON’s intuitive next control software, using a touchscreen interface that feels familiar from day one.
No codes. No clunky controls. Just a clean, app-like experience with smart gestures and visual guidance that make setup and operation quick and seamless—even for teams without prior CNC experience.
With the M8Cube, OEMs can bring high-precision machining in-house, reduce part costs, shorten turnaround times, and maintain full control over quality and timelines. It’s the smarter way to scale production—efficiently, affordably, and without compromise.
I immediately identified DATRON’s technology as the ideal solution for making test fixtures. They had just come out with their new M8Cube technology and I was confident that they offered the best solution.”

From intricate enclosures to densely nested, high-tolerance components, the compact DATRON M8Cube is purpose-built to support the precision, speed, and repeatability required in OEM manufacturing.
Built for high-performance OEM manufacturing, the DATRON M8Cube delivers the precision, speed, and scalability required to meet today’s production demands. Its high-speed spindle—up to 60,000 RPM—paired with a large 26″ x 20″ machining area makes it ideal for both full-size parts and densely nested jobs in aluminum, plastics, composites, and other non-ferrous materials. A 24-tool automatic changer and integrated camera with touch probe streamline complex setups and tool transitions with ease.
Big Capability, Efficient Footprint
Despite its expansive work envelope, the M8Cube fits seamlessly into most production environments. Its rigid polymer concrete frame ensures excellent surface finishes while consuming minimal energy—perfect for OEMs focused on lean, efficient operations.
Fast Setup, Minimal Disruption
The M8Cube requires only power and shop air—no extra prep or infrastructure. Clean ethanol-based mist cooling eliminates the mess and maintenance of traditional flood systems.
Larger machining area in a compact footprint
High-speed performance with low energy use
Clean, quiet, and ready for OEM production floors

Machines include onboard diagnostics. We provide phone support for initial diagnosis, and many issues can be resolved by swapping plug-and-play components. DATRON stocks parts and tools locally in the USA. For more complex repairs, DATRON employs highly skilled field service technicians who are available nationwide.
The polymer-concrete table has threaded inserts on a 100mm grid. Using DATRON’s conical locating system, vises, pallets, vacuum tables, and fixtures can be positioned and mounted accurately and quickly.
DATRON’s vacuum table system securely holds thin or thick sheet material across the entire work area, even for very small nested parts.
Yes. The M8Cube supports robot or cobot integration. Optional automatic doors and an automation module are available for fully unattended operation.
Yes, especially for small-tool steel machining (.060″ or smaller). Common applications include engraving, micro-grooves, and drilling. Oil is required in the MQL system for steel.
Yes. The PC-based control connects easily to your network via Ethernet. Have your IT team coordinate firewall and security settings with DATRON.
They are mechanically identical except for size:
This optional open front section allows mounting of oversized or long parts, such as extrusions. It also supports an optional vertical workholding fixture and is required for a 4th/5th axis trunnion.
Standard requirement is 400V, 3-phase. An optional 11 kVA transformer (280V → 400V) is available from DATRON. The machine should be hardwired to its own dedicated breaker.
DATRON CNC machines and high-speed spindles will increase your feed rates and reduce faster cycle times. The machines and software are optimized so that the entire machining process or workflow is fast and efficient saving you time and money.
