JD was determined to join the DATRON Dynamics team and after a few years of relentless pursuit, joined the “BLUE Team” in 2019.
JD has been in the CNC industry since he was 14 years old. Working at his family’s shop in Indiana, he started out deburring and washing parts, worked his way up to the CNC departments, then took over the CNC mills after finishing college.
He met his first DATRON while working for a company that put him in charge of acquiring a new CNC machine. After researching the options, he was impressed with DATRON technology and recommended they purchase an M8. He handled the programming and daily operation of that M8 for over 5 years and now has a unique understanding of machine ownership from purchase to operation and maintenance.
JD loves that he gets to “work” by helping customers through challenging times. One RF company was struggling to produce flat tight tolerance aluminum parts, running each of their parts at a 3.5-hour cycle time and getting subpar quality. After working with JD and our Applications Team, they were able to reduce their cycle time to just 5 minutes and 30 seconds and improved their part quality.
When JD isn’t revving up customer cycle times, he enjoys spending family time out in the desert with their quads and 4×4 toys. If you can’t find him there, he’s likely beating the Arizona heat by catching a game inside with a cold Daddy soda.
