Regional Sales Manager

$65,000 base + Generous Commission Structure!

DATRON Dynamics is seeking a self-motivated salesperson to help continue our growth. Our Regional Sales Representatives are front-line sellers charged with uncovering qualified prospects in a specific and protected territory, growing our base of new customers and keeping current customers satisfied.

The successful candidate should be able to navigate a long sales cycle (6+ months) and understand how to convey value to many different stakeholders within an organization. They will need to understand the technical side of manufacturing and also be adept at building a business case for our high-end capital equipment.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Develop and nurture sales leads in a defined region, aiming for profitable results.
  • Identify short and long-term opportunities for sales growth in the assigned territory.
  • Maintain technical knowledge of products and services offered, including CNC machines, tooling, and CAD/CAM.
  • Execute North American sales strategies in alignment with company guidelines.
  • Ensure sales activities adhere to DATRON’s Code of Conduct and yearly sales goals.
  • Plan and organize a monthly travel schedule to achieve specific sales objectives.
  • Monitor and report the sales pipeline using sales reports, meetings, and a CRM system (Salesforce).
  • Manage and develop customer accounts, maintain industry connections, and collaborate with various departments for successful sales outcomes.
Please Note – this position does require travel to customer sites, as well as travel to our office locations for training, company events, etc. Between trips, you will work remotely.

What We Need from You:

  • Education – Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent industry experience
    • Experience – One year in related industry sales

  • Works effectively and collaboratively within a team environment.

  • Develops new customers within the Southeast Region and maintains relationships with existing customers.

  • Successful track record selling capital equipment is preferred.

  • A willingness to travel 25-50% and to manage complex sales which involve meeting with C-Level executives is critical.

  • General knowledge of metal cutting or fabrication in the manufacturing industry is preferred.
