Traditional CNC controls often rely on complex keypads, dials, and screens filled with coordinate data. DATRON replaced that complexity with a clean, icon-driven touchscreen interface. The control is entirely visual and it doesn’t even require a keyboard.

With minimal training, even operators with no prior machining experience can begin producing parts quickly. This approach was intentional. As the skilled machinist workforce continues to shrink, DATRON developed a system that makes advanced machining accessible to a broader range of users. Today, thousands of DATRON machines worldwide are successfully operated by non-machinists in industrial, lab, and office environments.

The DATRON neo family represents the most compact and affordable machines in the DATRON portfolio. Available in three versions: neo Entry, neo, and neo Pro. These systems are ideal for small-part manufacturing in environments where floor space or power availability is limited.

The neo Entry is the most economical model in the lineup and is well suited for:

This configuration delivers excellent performance for prototyping and low-throughput environments. However, it does not support a 4th axis or many advanced accessories and software upgrades, and these cannot be added later.

It is significantly more capable than a hobby machine, yet optimized for cost-conscious, lower-demand environments.

The standard neo is designed for steady production environments operation.

Although it shares the same physical footprint as the neo Entry, it includes substantial mechanical, software, and accessory upgrades that transform it into a production machining center.

• Refrigerated spindle chiller for thermal stability
• 24-tool automatic tool changer
• Automatic tool length measurement
• Integrated camera and XYZ touch probe
• 5-liter coolant tank (10-liter optional)

The visual camera system allows operators to drag a live image of the table directly on the touchscreen for quick, intuitive part alignment. A couple of optional next software upgrades include, remote monitoring via smartphone and protected machining zones to reduce crash risk.

The neo is ideal for production of small parts in aluminum, composites, and carbon fiber, particularly in environments where floor space is limited.

The neo Pro includes all features of the standard neo but adds linear scales on the X, Y and Z axes.

These scales measure actual machine position and provide feedback to correct micron-level deviations.

• Positional accuracy: ±0.0003” (X and Y)

The neo Pro is ideal for tight-tolerance applications such as:

• RF waveguides
• Aerospace components
• Medical parts

For small, intricate precision parts, this is the highest-accuracy model in the neo family.

The M8Cube is a mid-size machine offering significantly more workspace while maintaining a relatively compact footprint.

The M8Cube requires 3-phase power and is designed for industrial production environments requiring larger capacity.

This machine excels in sheet-based aluminum and plastic production and supports lights-out machining without requiring complex robotic automation. It is also robot-ready when needed.

The MLCube builds on the M8Cube platform but nearly doubles the working area:

• Travel: 60” x 45”
• Footprint: 95” x 90”
• Standard positional accuracy: ±0.0015”
• With linear scales: ±0.0006”

The MLCube supports the same spindle options and 4th/5th axis configurations as the M8Cube.

The additional 40% workspace enables:

The MLCube Pro shares the same internal structure as the MLCube but is purpose-built for automation.

Unlike the standard MLCube, it does not support front-mounted 4th/5th axis trunnions.

• 8 kW (up to 34,000 RPM) Uses HSK-32 tool collets
