DATRON Dynamics West Hosts TechDay Event for Silicon Valley Area Manufacturing Professionals

Livermore, CA, March 7, 2016 – DATRON Dynamics Inc. hosted a TechDay event last Friday at their newest state-of-the-art Technology Center in Livermore CA. The event was coordinated to exhibit a range of production solutions to Silicon Valley Area manufacturers. This included live demonstrations on DATRON milling machines. Dozens of companies came to see the latest advancements in high speed machining technology and were encouraged to bring their unique production challenges with them for consultation.

“This was the first of many events that we will hold at our new technology center and we were pleased to see such a great turnout.” said Chris Hopkins, Division Manager of DATRON Dynamics West. He added, “This region produces many of the world’s greatest products and advancements and we’re proud to offer our expertise to perpetuate this level of development in manufacturing.” DATRON Dynamics President Bill King added, “The West Coast has become synonymous with innovation and our expansion of this facility was planned specifically for events like this – that initiate dialog, promote ingenuity and help to drive the future of innovative manufacturing.”

The company demonstrated the compact 5-axis C5 model, the award-winning M8Cube high-speed milling machine, the D5 dental implant milling system, and the large format MLCube featuring linear scales and massive 60” x 40” work area. Production applications demonstrated included aerospace components, microfluidics devices, 3D engraving, thermoform mold making and general aluminum machining.

Hopkins stated, “The participation at this event demonstrates the enthusiasm of area manufacturers to see more and learn more about the technology and we’re happy to be able to provide the kind of content and the forum that they’re looking for.” In fact, DATRON Dynamics West intends to host additional quarterly workshops as well as bi-weekly Meetups as a means of serving the manufacturing community.
