Coin Dies & Stamping Dies

Precision engraving of coin dies or stamping dies requires rigidity. DATRON CNC machines are made with either a solid cast steel frame or a combination of cast steel and concrete polymer. The machining tables on most models are made of solid concrete polymer or solid granite for exceptional vibration dampening and high precision. Here are some other features that help with precision, efficiency, and ease-of use:

Application Notes: for the "Bayern" Stamping Die shown above, we have documented the machining strategies, feeds, speeds, tools, software and workholding used to produce it in the Application Notes below.

Plus, there’s our easy-to-use but robust DATRON next touch-screen control that allows you to go from “art to part” … even without waiting for your art department. That’s because jobs can be easily programmed by the operator.

CNC Machines for Coin Dies & Stamping Dies:
The DATRON neo is our entry-level machine only in that it is smaller and less expensive. The capabilities are equally robust and it features the revolutionary DATRON next touch-screen interface and makes machining as easy as using a smart phone. So, if 19.5" x 15.5" is enough work area for you this machine could be perfect!

The M8Cube is an ideal machine for milling batch machining and the 40” x 32” x 9” work area has ample room for various workholding setups like pneumatic clamps, and vacuum tables. Precision-ground ball screws, linear guides and brushless direct drives provide superior accuracy in all axes. Optional XYZ probing recognizes irregular surfaces and compensate for them dynamically.

The M10 Pro is our fastest most accurate machine with linear scales for high position accuracy across the entire work envelope. With a 41" x 35" travel the M10 is capable of rapid rates up to 30 meters per minute. When the shortest cycle times or mirror finish surfaces are required, the M10 is the way to go. Plus, the liquid-chilled, 40,000 RPM spindle is exceptionally suited to rapid, high-volume material removal. The solid granite table adds rigidity for precision milling.
