Design

All DATRON machines feature a gantry-style portal (or bridge) on which the machining spindle is mounted. The gantry can move the spindle in both X and Y coordinates while the spindle moves itself up and down in the Z axis. The gantry portal is another design feature that helps to increase working area. It is also a superior method of moving the machining spindle to cover greater distances or in situations where the work path changes frequently.
