DATRON probe sensor XYZ and DATRON module clamping system


"Time is Money" – based on this premise, DATRON has further developed its CNC machines, as well as all outfitting details, for more than 15 years. Main features: high speed CNC machining with small tools, making work effective, fast and, therefore, profitable. The modular configurability of the mechanical system allows custom solutions to be developed, and production costs can be clearly reduced, especially for large series production.


Higher efficiency is guaranteed by the three-dimensional DATRON probe sensor XYZ, which drastically reduces set-up times. Thanks to its measuring head, including the evaluation electronics, swivelling mechanics with precision bearings, and the operating and evaluation software, the set-up times of the machining system are reduced to a minimum. The referencing precision and reliability are optimised. Within seconds, the production quality is increased, or the dimensional stability is simply checked. This consistently optimises the manner of production, such as in the rough digitalisation of a shape for further processing in the CAD system, in the depth processing of Acrylics as well as other plastics with thickness tolerances.


DATRON offers the XYZ sensors in two precision classes. The TYPE
TP-D
is designed for simpler measurements, e.g. for achieving a constant engraving depth (measuring precision of +/- 0.05 mm). The precision sensor TYPE TP-R distinguishes itself by its low probing forces and its higher measuring precision (+/ 0.01 mm). The 3D extension, then, also allows measurements to be made in the X- and Y-directions, and the milling tool, for example, can be positioned above a hole centre or workpiece edge.


The DATRON module clamping system distinguishes itself with speedy set-up times with super-fast vacuum clamping, without the time-consuming screwing in and out. Module plates taken up by conical centring sleeves are suctioned via vacuum directly onto the polymer-casting table. Advantage: In practice, this allows the clamping modules to be changed within seconds. The vacuum-supported take-up system guarantees high reproducibility of the clamping position in the range of 10 µm. Thanks to the fast changing, the machine can be more effectively used.


The machine idle periods can be drastically reduced with the innovative module clamping system from DATRON. In many cases, the productivity can then be clearly increased.
