Dental implants to replace natural teeth provide a means of comfortable chewing and a means of minimizing bone loss. Often abutments are fixed to the jawbone with a metal bone screw. Connectors to the abutments accomodate crowns that have been milled to resembe the original tooth. In the process of producing these parts blanks must be milled, including passages through the blank for screw placement, tapering for conformance to the gumline and the customized crown.
