The optional integrated vision system has many different functions for various applications. Developed originally for the printed circuit board industry, the camera has the ability to automatically recognize a fiducial or crop mark on a part or panel and lock in on the center points. Based on finding two points, a program can then be oriented or skewed automatically to the recognized markings. The camera can be used manually allowing the operator to slowly maneuver the Z axis and align the camera cross hairs with a part origin. The camera can also be used to shoot and record a magnified image or detail. The camera system is ideal in applications when you need to quickly register a tool path with pre-printed artwork on flat sheets.
